Temple Beth Torah in Upper Nyack, will mark the first yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) of legendary Jewish singer-songwriter Debbie Friedman, who famously set Jewish texts to contemporary folk-style melodies. She was known to many as “the Joan Baez of Jewish song” and had recorded more than 20 albums.
