The Todd Henry Movement will present a new show called "Soaked" at Triskelion Arts, 118 North 11th St, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY, Oct. 25-28, at 8 pm. Eclectic and innovative, Henry's choreography engages audiences in a unique theatrical experience. Movement bursts off walls and floors, unfolding in staccato pacing and spacing, asking as many questions as it answers. Narratives and themes are tender and dark, exploring human sexuality and spiritual bankruptcy with fearless candor. Live stage performance intertwines with visual projections, text, and films. Influences include the raw emotion of Miguel Gutierrez, the sly comedy of Douglas Coupland and the inclusive immediacy of Keith Haring.Todd Henry on his work: "I'm using nine talented performers to explore how we live among each other. It's a journal in motion. This show is about the boundaries we set; don't set; learn to set. It's about obsession. It's about addiction. It's about falling in love. It's about sex. It's about emotional vampires. It's about falling on your face. It's about loving yourself. It's about hope. It's about being human." The soundtrack for "Soaked" includes TV on the Radio, The Mountain Goats, DJ Shadow, NIN, Perfume Genius, Nicholas Jaar, Stacey Q, live vocals and original text. Tickets for the show are $15 and seating is limited. Order from Brown Paper Tickets, 1-800-838-3006, www.brownpapertickets.com.
