Add to Calendar 07-02-2012 07-02-2012 15 Emily Danger at Arlene's Grocery Emily Danger is an indie folk rock band from New York City. The band consists of Emily Nicholas (vocals, piano), Ryan Nearhoff (vocals, guitar), Cameron Orr (violin, bass, melodica, vocals), and Colin Lime (drums, bass, vocals). Their music consists of lyrics written by Emily and music and arrangements created by the band. The band’s influences include: Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Cole Porter, classical music and 70’s rock. Their music combines beautiful melodies and vulnerable lyrics with complex, often dissonant arrangements, reminiscent of the Troubadour era with a modern sound. New York performances include: The Bitter End, National Underground, Arlene’s Grocery, Fat Baby, K&M, Alphabet Lounge, The Duplex, and more. They are currently working with producer Devon Craig Johnson on their EP release, “Paintings”. The band is named after a nickname given to Emily by Colin because “Danger” is, in fact, her middle name. Emily Danger returns to Arlene's Grocery with new music, new instruments, and a free download from their EP for all who come! Only $5 cover for this amazing venue and show! http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=102550 Arlene's Grocery true DD/MM/YYYY
