Description: DA BEATMINERZ - Mr. Walt and DJ Evil Dee of the super-producer team Da Beatminerz have devoted their expertise as producers, DJs, and radio personalities to the music industry professionally since 1992. The two are the geniuses behind Enta da Stage (1993), Black Moon's introduction album, Smif-N-Wessun's debut album Dah Shinin' (1995), and singles for artists such as Naughty by Nature, Black Star, Eminem, and Busta Rhymes, just to name a few. Da Beatminerz soon added their own albums to their catalog, signing on with Rawkus Records for a production-based project. The group laced hard-edge beats with hip-hop's finest lyricists to create the album Brace 4 Impak (2001). A model of consistency, the duo has continued to kick out significant independent albums, including Fully Loaded w/ Statik (2004) and Unmarked Music Vol. 1 (2007). As DJs, Walt and Evil Dee continue to tour nationally and internationally and host shows broadcasting from their online radio station www.DaBeatminerz.com, which is the home of 14 mixmasters and is dedicated to representing hip-hop. THE X-ECUTIONERS - The world-renowned turntablists formerly known as the X-Men officially became the X-Ecutioners when they made the leap from being battle DJs to recording artists in their own right. Founded in 1989 with the stated intention of dethroning the reigning battle DJs in the local hip-hop DJ scene, the crew set out to become the most dominant force in the history of the hip-hop DJ. These New York natives can count themselves among a select handful of DJs who spearheaded the turntablist movement by taking the classic hip-hop techniques of mixing and cutting into a whole new realm of musical improvisation, working with a host of prominent artists in the process. In 2004, Roc Raida and Total Eclipse welcomed the genre-elevating talents of turntablists DJ Boogie Blind (2000 Vestax World Champion) and DJ Precision (2002 Beatdown World Champion) as official members of the ever-evolving super DJ group. The crew has released numerous acclaimed albums, including X-Pressions (1997), Built from Scratch (2002), Scratchology (2003), and Revolutions (2004), as well as Joint Special Operations Taskforce, a 2005 collaborative album with General Patton.
