Description: American guitarist Jimmy Herring is a musician's musician. The North Carolina native has been playing guitar for close to 40 years and exhibits signs that he's just getting started. A staple in the jazz fusion and jam band scene, his playing style melds the influences of Jimi Hendrix's raw emotion, the twang of Steve Morse, and the flowing phrases of jazz legends Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. Herring was the founding member of seminal band Col. Bruce Hampton and The Aquarium Rescue Unit. In 1997 he cofounded Frogwings, after which he joined Jazz is Dead. He has also enjoyed tenures with the legendary Phil Lesh, The Other Ones, his experimental trio Project Z, and Widespread Panic, with which he continues to perform to this day.

He has recorded and/or toured with musical luminaries from John Mayer and Sting to Steely Dan and Diana Ross. Etienne Mbappe - Bass:"ATN" - as his friends call him - is nothing but a famous and exceptionally talented bass player. His bass playing transcends the boundaries between Jazz, Fusion/Funk, Rock, and African Sounds. Best known for his years with the Zawinul Syndicate, ATN has also toured with Steps Ahead, Ray Lema and Mayra Andrade and played on Ray Charles last album.
