While no women actually served aboard USS Intrepid, this hour long guided tour will recount over sixty years of trailblazing women and their accomplishments in sea, air and space. From "Rosie the Riveter" to the first women in space, this tour will explore the role women have played in the United States Military from the 1940s to the present day and share insight into the female spirit, summed up by the iconic phrase: "WE CAN DO IT!" Tours run every Saturday and Sunday in March. Visitors should sign up at the Information Desk in advance as there is limited space available.
