Description: The diagrams of the Solar System we see in school classrooms do not represent the true scale of Space as miles and light years are hard to visualize. Join the Intrepid Tour Guides to build a scale model of the Solar System and learn just how far away the International Space Station, the Moon and Mars actually are. This Tour Guide Talk is open to the public and free with the price of admission to the museum.
Venue Description: The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is a non-profit, educational institution featuring the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid, the space shuttle Enterprise, the world's fastest jets and a guided missile submarine. The Intrepid Museum fulfills its mission to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth by connecting them to history through hands-on exploration while bridging the future by inspiring innovation.
