The Museum's signature survey of contemporary American Art will take on a new form as three outside curators -- Stuart Comer (currently Curator: Film at Tate Modern, London, and soon to become Chief Curator of Media and Performance Art at MoMA), Anthony Elms (Associate Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia), and Michelle Grabner (Professor and Chair of the Painting and Drawing Department at the School of the Art Institute, Chicago) -- each oversee one floor.
Whitney curators Elisabeth Sussman and Jay Sanders, who organized the widely acclaimed 2012 Biennial, will advise on the exhibition.
