Description: The music of The Grateful Dead transcends time, age, and race. The band's high-energy, soul-touching jams and the family-like environment of its shows helped to carve a niche in the counterculture that will never be filled. Over the past 13 years, Liquid Dead Sessions has grown to become one of the favorite Grateful Dead experiences in the Northeast. Playing since 1998, the group is known for its authentic but unique renditions of Grateful Dead classics, thick with heartfelt jams that make even the most jaded DeadHead rejoice.
Liquid Dead Sessions is composed of a rotating cast of musicians throughout New England, having developed not only into a regular homecoming for VT-area DeadHeads, but also one of the premier experiences for explorative improvisation. With an unmasked joy that pours off the stage and blurs any boundaries with their audience, the Sessions are beloved from both the casual fan to the dedicated Terrapin warrior. Sessions have included members of the Trey Anastasio Band, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, the Grippo Funk Band, the Seth Yacovone Band, and more, and special guests have ranged from your neighbor down the farm to Mike Gordon of Phish.
