Brooklyn Children's Museum
The oldest children's museum in the world, engages children form pre-school to high school in learning adventures that encourage the development of understanding and respect for themselves, others and the world around them by exploring cultures, the arts , science and enviroment. Exhibits involve nature, artifacts, music, animals, a mock pizza parlor and movie making studio, and an early learning center for toddlers. The museum houses a computer-equipped library, three theaters, weekend workshops, and offers internship programs, mentoring and scientists/artist-in-residence programs, as well as the Museum Team, a free award-winning after school-program.
