The name says it all in these days of steamy reality dance shows: Burn the Floor -- the heart-stopping Latin and ballroom dance spectacular -- is set to ignite the Broadway scene on July 25th when it arrives at the Longacre Theatre for a limited 12-week engagement. Jason Gilkison, former World Champion Latin and Ballroom dancer (and guest choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance) is the director/choreographer/mastermind behind this unique array of dance styles and performances by world-champion dancers. (For a preview, visit www.burnthefloor.com.)
Worth noting... The team of Maks and Karina from TV’s Dancing with the Stars will be making their Broadway debut in this production. Caveat: this way hot couple will only be with the show for the first three weeks of the Broadway run -- act fast!
