“Deal or No Deal,” the NBC game show phenomenon that’s sweeping the nation, has found a home at Toys“R”Us Times Square, with the recent opening of the “Deal or No Deal” game boutique and launch of their latest promotion designed to bring the fun and excitement of “Deal or No Deal” to all of its stores across the country. Toys“R”Us invites customers to play a retail version of the “Deal or No Deal” game that will roll out in conjunction with season two of the highly popular television program.
Starting Sunday, Oct. 1 and continuing for four consecutive weeks, more than 140 million Toys“R”Us newspaper circulars will include a game piece featuring two briefcases: one for “Deal” and one for “No Deal.” Each week, customers can bring their circular to any Toys“R”Us location to select either the “Deal” (an automatic 10 percent off any one item) or take their chances and choose “No Deal” — trying their luck to win $1 million or hundreds of thousands of other incredible prizes including Nintendo Wii™ home video game consoles, trips to see the taping of “Deal or No Deal,” Schwinn bikes, Sony MP3 players, and more. If the briefcase comes up empty, customers will still receive an in-store discount.
“Deal or No Deal” merchandise, including board games and card games to toys with a tech twist, brings the intensity of the hit program to life. Featuring popular characters, such as Howie Mandel and the “Banker,” the games provide players with an opportunity to step into the roles of host, briefcase opener or contestant. Whether it’s a fun game night at home or entertainment-on-the-go, parents and kids can test their own deal-making skills with one or more of the Deal or No Deal licensed games available at Toys“R”Us stores nationwide and on www.toysrus.com.
In addition to all of the Deal or No Deal excitement, Toys “R” Us Times Square is host to unbelievable displays and retail attractions. With a 4,000-square-foot Barbie Dollhouse and a New York City skyline constructed entirely of LEGO bricks, Toys“R”Us Times Square lives up to its title as “The Center of the Toy Universe.” There’s even a 20-foot-high animatronic Jurassic Park T-rex dinosaur! While you’re there, don’t forget to take a spin on the massive, 60-foot indoor Ferris wheel with exciting, individually themed cabs — and get your picture taken on it as a souvenir.
