Spend New Year's with New York's Newest Hot Spot: Opry City StageDecember 15, 2017 - by Merrill Lee Girardeau
Looking for a good time this New Year’s Eve? Come to the brand-new Opry City Stage for live country music and delicious Southern cooking. No, it’s not in Nashville; this new branch of the Grand Ole Opry has come to rock New York City, holding live concerts and serving food and drink fit for Elvis himself.
Don’t miss this New Year’s Eve bash, featuring the country duo Locash (of the hit song “I Know Somebody”) and the up-and-coming band Radio Romance, who won the 2017 Nash Next competition. While the bands play in the new year, you can enjoy drinks from the bar, along with a menu full of Southern staples like collard greens, gumbo, Nashville hot chicken, and barbecue.
Ticket-holders will be treated to the concert, dinner, open bar, and party favors! Come for the 7pm show before you head outside to watch the ball drop over Times Square. At the longer 9:30pm show, you’ll watch, eat, and toast to 2018 with complimentary drink at midnight (those who opt for VIP tickets can get an escort into Times Square to watch the ball come down in person).
Enter on the Opry City Stage website for 2 free tickets to the concert, including meet and greet with LOCASH, dinner, air fare, and two nights in a hotel. Who could pass that up?!
The new Opry City Stage has four floors full of history and Southern charm. Check out outfits worn by Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Taylor Swift behind glass in the venue, plus historical photographs and an installation made of 10,000 guitar picks! Before you go, peruse the venue’s shop for t-shirts and gifts to commemorate your trip.
Opry City Stage is located at 1604 Broadway. Call the restaurant at 212-388-5565 for reservations. For more information on the New Year’s Eve Bash, visit oprycitystage.com/newyearseve.
