Big Red Fest: A Celebration of Women - Bowery Poetry Club

In honor of Women’s History Month, New York-based trio, Dirty Mae, invite everyone to their first annual Big Red Festival on Sunday, March 31 at 2pm. The festival will take place at the Bowery Poetry Club and features an all-female lineup of artists performing live music, spoken word, comedy, and more. All proceeds will be donated to survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking. The event will kick off with a women’s march led by the Hungry March Band starting at Washington Square Park and will end at the Bowery Poetry Club. Big Red Festival takes its name from Dirty Mae’s upcoming new single, “Big Red,” a feminist retelling of Little Red Riding Hood that finds its protagonist all grown up in a world where the divine energy of the feminine is celebrated. The new single – the first since the band’s debut self-titled EP – is set for release on March 29. Join us at 1pm for the march from Washington Square Park Arch to Bowery Poetry Club, or just come meet us at BPC for the celebration at 3pm!
