Lewis has received accolades from New York Times, Q Magazine and cultural tastemakers such as Ebony Magazine, who hailed him as one of the "7 Young Players to Watch" in today's scene. Lewis has shared the stage with Ken Filano, Darius Jones and Jason Hwang, William Parker, Hamiet Bluiett, Hamid Drake, Ravi Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, Mark Ribot, Anthony Coleman and many others. Lehman Center for the Performing Arts and Goya Foods is proud to present the debut performance at Lehman Center of El Principe de la Bachata, FRANK REYES, on Saturday, June, 29th at 8pm. In this special concert for all the fans of bachata, Grammy-nominated Frank Reyes, with his exceptional bachata rhythm and incredible singing talent, will perform his greatest hits such as “Quién Eres Tu”, “Tu Eres Ajena”, and “Ayer Te Vi Con El”, and many more. This concert continues the completion of the first phase of renovations at Lehman Center for the Performing Arts. Concert goers will find that the lobbies have been upgraded for ADA compliance with new ramps and carpeting, and the interior of the theater will have new seating, carpeted aisles, and finished flooring as well. The $15.4 million dollar refurbishment of the Center, which is expected to be completed by mid-2019, will also include 5,400 square feet of enlarged space, with a new main entrance and a redesigned box office, plus new administration offices and restroom facilities on the first and mezzanine floors, and an elevator. The non-profit humanitarian organization presents Bergenfest, a benefit concert run by students that is full of music and fun for the family. TEEEM works with Bergen County high school students to provide medical care, economic empowerment, food and education to communities in in the developing world. Headlining the concert will be Wé McDonald of Paterson, NJ, who drew national attention on NBC's The Voice along with local bands playing throughout the day. Bergenfest will be held at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School, 335 North Van Dien Avenue in Ridgewood NJ on Saturday June 29th, from 12-7pm.
