March 23, 2019 - New York

In these tough times when good jobs are scarce and great salaries are even scarcer, it's not easy to unwind, and relax. But, we're not robots, and we shouldn't have to work 24/7 just to keep up! Sometimes, you have to step back and relieve the pressure with fun and good times. That's what After Hours is all about – giving you the chance to laugh, blow off steam, and get rid of that workday stress. It'll remind you that even when times are tough and the boss has got you down, there's still plenty to laugh about and enjoy. So punch out, slide down the tail of that dinosaur, and come out for some laughs. You'll be glad you did.

BRAINWAVE: POWER 2019 AT THE RUBIN MUSEUM OF ART - THE POWER OF ADDICTION - The Rubin Museum of Art
March 23, 2019 - Chelsea

Brainwave, the Rubin’s longest running series of non-scripted on-stage conversations, is centered around the museum’s annual theme. It investigates how our minds shape our everyday experiences, incorporating Eastern and Western philosophies, science, art, and other disciplines. Every spring, a unique theme unifies the Rubin Museum’s programs, including on-stage conversations between neuroscientists and notable personalities, films, and immersive visitor experiences. THE POWER OF ADDICTION: Addiction has the terrifying power to alter our neurochemistry, undermine our best intentions, and destroy relationships, leaving human lives shattered in its wake. How can we fight it while summoning the healing power to repair its damage? Neuroscientist Judith Grisel PhD, who studies factors that contribute to addiction, and actor Zachary Quinto, who has his own experiences with addiction, offer perspectives on the topic. Together they explore how addiction happens, discuss why specific drugs—including opioids, alcohol, and cocaine—are so hard to kick, and illuminate the path to recovery for addicts, loved ones, caregivers, and crafters of public policy.

Daughter of a Garbageman - The PIT
March 30, 2019 - New York

DAUGHTER OF A GARBAGEMAN is a tale of Maureen Langan's 1970's upbringing in New Jersey, in which her Irish mother and Bronx-born father, a New York City sanitation worker, told her to work hard, get educated and life would reward her. But is that true? How do you tell a girl to read and write when sex tapes lead to fame and fortune? When the star of The Apprentice can become the president? In DAUGHTER OF A GARBAGEMAN, Langan lambasts today's "reality culture," while revealing her parents' strengths, struggles and secrets, as well as her own, and how that made her who she is today. Maureen taps into the hearts and frustrations of hard-working people everywhere who wonder if they, too, were raised wrong. Directed by David Ford
