A life long musician, Waites attracted early critical notices as an actor and was cast as Fox in Walter Hill's "The Warriors", filmed in NYC in 1978... from there, he began a long association with Al Pacino in "Justice For All", played Windows in John Carpenter's cult classic "The Thing", and continued to develop his success and acclaim as a stage actor, director, and writer. 2019 is the 40th Anniversary of the beloved and influential film "The Warriors" and The Thomas G. The exhibition will feature significant portraits from private collections by the artists Alice Neel (1900-1984) and Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprisings, Art after Stonewall, 1969–1989 is a long-awaited and groundbreaking survey that features over 200 works of art and related visual materials exploring the impact of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) liberation movement on visual culture. Presented in two parts—at New York University’s Grey Art Gallery and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art—the exhibition features artworks by openly LGBTQ artists such as Vaginal Davis, Louise Fishman, Nan Goldin, Lyle Ashton Harris, Barbara Hammer, Holly Hughes, Greer Lankton, Robert Mapplethorpe, Catherine Opie, Joan Snyder, and Andy Warhol. On view at the Grey Art Gallery from April 24 through July 20, 2019 and at the Leslie-Lohman Museum from April 24 through July 21, 2019, the exhibition is organized by the Columbus Museum of Art.

This event is 21 and over Wussy is a five-piece rock and roll band comprised of ex-Ass Ponys frontman Chuck Cleaver (guitar, vocals), Lisa Walker (guitar, vocals), Mark Messerly (bass, keyboards) Joe Klug (drums) and John Erhardt (pedal steel). They formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 2000's with original drummer Dawn Burman Cleaver and Walker began playing together in 2001 as a result of Cleaver's stage fright when asked to perform a brief run of solo shows. The duo's first performance was largely unplanned and yet went without incident… so they agreed to continue and expand. Mark Messerly joined in 2002 as bassist and utility man, and Dawn Burman joined on drums shortly thereafter. The four-piece has released three full-length albums and one EP on their native Cincinnati's Shake It label.

Always pushing boundaries, alt-pop phenomenon Lights has never shied away from a challenge. Through her first three records, Lights built an incredibly passionate fanbase, selling out tours around the world, earning 100M in U.S. streams, 200K in U.S. album sales, and two JUNO Awards, not to mention the 2M + rabid fans who follow her every move online. Yet through this success, she felt like she had more important things to say through her music but just didn't know how to get them out. Then came En, short for Enaia, a fictional character from a fictional world created in Lights' imagination that is not altogether different from herself. Throughout a year long process, she began secretly working on an unprecedented idea writing and drawing her own comic book based around this alter ego of sorts. And on top of that, just to make things more difficult -- an album to coincide with the whole thing.
