Madame Tussauds New York hosted a spirited unveiling for the wax figures of worldwide music sensation ABBA as they make their stateside debut, with the help of the Broadway stars from the smash hit musical Mamma Mia!: Judy McLane, Lauren Cohn and Stacia Fernandez.
ABBA, one of the world’s most successful and enduring bands, was established in 1972 with Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The band members worked closely with Madame Tussauds artists in creating their wax figures -- selecting the attire and dictating the look. The figures are dressed in hand-painted, exact replicas of their iconic garb from various 1975 appearances and performances – matching white outfits, bell-bottomed pants and sky high platform boots.
Madame Tussauds New York is the interactive "must do" attraction, providing guests with unique opportunities to create memories with some of the world's biggest icons. Prominently located in the heart of Times Square, Madame Tussauds New York is open 365 days a year at 10am. Visit www.madametussauds.com/newyork or call 866-246-8872 for more information.
