Daniel Radcliffe Is Coming Back to Broadway for The Cripple of Inishmaan

In terms of Tony nominations, it looks like Daniel Radcliffe’s third Broadway outing may be the charm. Filmdom’s Harry Potter -- who loves American audiences and the energy of the Big Apple -- is crossing the Atlantic once again as the title character in Tony-nominated playwright (The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Lonesome West, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Pillowman) Martin McDonagh’s acclaimed London hit, The Cripple of Inishmaan. Radcliffe appeared in the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2011 and made his Broadway debut in Equus opposite a fellow Potter alum, the late Richard Griffiths, in 2008.

Daniel Radcliffe to star in The Cripple of Inishmaan on Broadway

He comes to New York after blowing critics away with his performance in last summer’s sell-out run at the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre. First-tier New York Times critic Ben Brantley caught the London production and wrote, “Daniel Radcliffe delivers his finest performance to date. He is remarkable.”

Tickets are on sale now for the limited run that begins previews on April 12th, opens on April 20th, and is scheduled to close on July 20th. Worth noting: Over 10,000 tickets priced at $27 will be available during the run “to provide access for all audiences.”

Set to play at the Cort Theatre, 138 W. 48th St., you can purchase tickets now by calling 212-239-6200 or clicking here.
