Jersey Boys Primed to Make Clint Eastwood’s Day in June 2014

Like Chicago, Mamma Mia!, Phantom, Rock of Ages and Annie (the first of the bunch to vault from Broadway to the big screen), the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, aka Jersey Boysa show that’s been packing in audiences since 2005 — is gearing up for its cinematic debut on June 20, 2014. And, unlike most film versions of stage productions, this one – directed by Clint Eastwood and featuring his daughter, Francesca Eastwood – includes actual members of the Broadway cast, including Tony winner John Lloyd Young as Mr. Valli.

Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the high-profile writing team behind the stage version, have, along with John Logan, adapted the Tony-winning musical for the screen. (And, to mollify any celebrity watchers who’ll be lining up at their local movie palace, the role of Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo is played by Christopher Walken.)
