Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons at the Met Costume Institute
Rei Kawakubo, the founder of the Comme des Garçons brand, does clothes—or “objects for the body” as she’s called them—that are original, unconventional (to put it mildly), and weird (to put it bluntly).
