Join or Die Film Screening
Join us for a community screening of the film, Join or Die, a documentary on community in America, the loneliness crisis, and Robert Putnam’s “Bowling Alone” research. The 14th Street Y serves as a hub of bringing people together through swimming, fitness classes, art classes, parenting groups, and our new clubs, classes and workshops. After the screening, join us for a discussion focusing on building community, joining as an act of hope, and how civic life impacts the bridging of divides in society. In addition to the screening, we will host a joining fair, where attendees can learn about, sign up for, and contribute to new groups and clubs (Spanish club, Strategic Board Games, Genealogy, Mah Jongg, Knitting, and more!). The screening will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, at the 14Y black box theater.
