In this two hour pottery workshop you will be led through the process of handbuilding a small vessel. We will be using pinching and impressing to create form and surface texture. When we sit still to drink tea we become aware of the smells, tastes, and sounds around us. We will be working to establish this same awareness through the creation of a unique tea cup.

Participants are encouraged to bring a couple small objects from home to stamp into the clay to create texture. Examples would be coins, rocks, chains, leaves, bark, rings, keys, dried mushrooms, seeds, or anything that holds meaning to instill in our cups. At the end of the workshop you will have made one cup that will be ready for pick up in two weeks.
