Conversations on Feminism, Sexuality, and Identity, a discussion featuring Sabyn Javeri, author of Hijabistan (Harper Collins, 2019) and Senior Lecturer of Writing and Literature & Creative Writing at NYUAD. This event will take place at the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute in New York on November 18th from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM —at 19 Washington Square North.

During this discussion, Javeri will delve into themes of women's sexuality, identity, and the hijab as a metaphor, addressing cultural and gender stereotypes while highlighting the nuanced experiences of South Asian Muslim women. This conversation sits at the intersection of literature, feminism, and cultural identity, offering insights for readers, writers, and scholars interested in the complexities of narrative and cultural perspectives.
