During the pandemic, kids have missed out on play dates, birthday parties and other occasional indulgences of childhood; they’ve been craving the transformative power of special experiences. Now, Cricket Azima makes candy the medium to explore, engage, and create. Opening on November 27 at 200 Hudson Street, Cricket’s Candy Creations is the place where kids and families can craft edible candy art while immersed in multisensory candy-themed activities. Cricket’s Candy Creations hosts the following activities: • Edible Slime Studio: Mix up a batch of your own delicious, edible slime • Candy Kitchen: get playful as you make candy versions of classic dishes • Lickable Fingerpaint Gallery: Get artistic as you make creations using edible fingerpaint! • Chocolate Chamber: Have a delicious time making chocolate treats, including, Hot Chocolate Bombs, chocolate pizza, • Accessories Arcade: create your own Tasty Trinkets, including keychains, bracelets, and more, using a variety of colorful and delicious candies! • Lollipop Lounge: Our event and exhibition space will feature rotating seasonal activities and host playdates, birthday parties, and corporate events. • Candy Shoppe: Families have the opportunity to purchase additional merchandise, sweets, souvenirs, Cricket’s Candy Creations Take Home Kits, and more! For over 20 years, New York food personality Cricket Azima, renowned chef, author and educator, has been connecting kids to food through fun, innovative and educational programs, classes and festivals. Now she all about letting loose with crafting and candy – and couldn’t we all use a little more of that? We invite you to come down to 200 Hudson to see the space as it is currently being built out – or just stop by on opening day! We’d love to set up a conversation with Cricket so you can learn more – let me know what you think!
