The Romero Guitar Quartet
Called "the royal family of the guitar" by The New York Times, the Romero Guitar Quartet returns with an eclectic program of masterworks. An arrangement of Vivaldi's Lute Concerto in D Major begins the program in high style, and is followed by works of Diabelli and Mauro Giuliani, a contemporary of Beethoven. The first half closes with a suite of seasonal favorites, arranged by the great Pepe Romero himself. The program continues with selections drawn from the rich Romero catalogue, including works from Romero family patriarch, Celedonio Romero, alongside pieces by Granados, Schubert and Pepe Romero.
