Erasing Borders Dance Festival
The Indo-American Arts Council announces the annual, eagerly anticipated "Erasing Borders" Dance Festival, Sept. 23-25. Two live performances, Sept. 23 & 24 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, and one virtual Sept. 25. All performances have totally different casts, showing the richness and variety of Indian dance and music, from traditional to contemporary. In addition to the 3 performances, there will be a workshop, panel discussion, and lecture/demo. A special feature of the 2023 season will be the participation of legendary dancer Padma Shri Malavika Sarukkai.
