Women in Power
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Apple will be hosting a special event at Apple Soho on Monday, March 20th at 6PM.
As part of Apple’s “Women in Power" series, Apple invites you to engage in a conversation with Black women leaders who advocate for a more equitable society as they discuss identity and influence as forms of power and showcase how they are using their unique perspectives to influence social change.
The event will feature the powerful voices of: • Alisha Johnson Wilder, director of Environment, Policy & Social Initiatives/Racial Equity & Justice Initiative at Apple: As a leader in her industry, Alisha is passionate on ways we can build a more inclusive tech sector, as well as combat against systemic racism. • Dr. C. Nicole Mason, president and CEO of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research: For the past two decades, she has explored issues relating to economic security, poverty, racial equity, and women. • Michaela Angela Davis, activist, journalist, producer of the NAACP Image Awards: A key cultural contributor and writer focused on the intersections between gender, race, fashion, culture, and identity. • Cori Murray, Multiplatform storyteller: A former deputy editor of ESSENCE Magazine, Cori has received an ElevatHER award by the Black Women Film Network in 2022, recognizing how she elevates future generations of Black women. • Sade Lythcott, CEO of the National Black Theatre: As daughter of the late Dr. Barbara Ann Teer, she has followed her steps by championing African-American arts and culture.
