Flushing Friends Quaker Meeting House and Bowne House – Walking Tour
Bowne House and the Flushing Friends Quaker Meeting House are partnering to host a joint, in-person event to celebrate the Conservancy’s 50th Anniversary. This event will include a live presentation in the Bowne House garden, self-guided tours of the Bowne House, and a Flushing Freedom Mile walking tour led by the team at the Friends Meeting House. Young visitors can enjoy a craft station with coloring pages in the Bowne House garden.
This event is part of a year-long series to celebrate 50 years of the New York Landmarks Conservancy. The New York Landmarks Conservancy has partnered with the Alice Austen House, and other sites, in its “50 at 50” online exhibition to offer the public an opportunity to explore some of the Conservancy’s most iconic and memorable successes.
