How to Win an EGOT
Learn More |
This new musical from Second City alums Drew Reilly and Ashley Blair follows two delusional pop stars as they embark on a quest to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony - in that order. Can they run the entertainment industry gauntlet and prove themselves worthy of international acclaim? Or will their narcissistic ambition to measure their self-worth by industry awards be their undoing?
Featuring an original hyperpop score with tracks such as Gooning in the DJ Booth, Come On, and Butt of the Bread, “How to Win an EGOT” uses sketch, improv, song and dance to tell the story of two gorgeous idiots on their plight to become legendary entertainers.
“Ashley Blair, a whirligig of comic energy, is one of those actors whose oddball physicality and spit-second intensity make every scene funnier. Drew Reilly, who plays everything from a football coach to a bitchy gay dancer, hints at Jim Carrey ambitions.” - The NY Times
