Sake Basics for Everyone
Brooklyn Kura - NYC's first sake brewery and taproom – hosts a monthly sake education series. Each Sake 101 class includes a round-table discussion lead by a sake sommelier (known in Japan as a “kikizakeshi”), focusing on a variety of topics from dispelling sake myths to what to look for when buying sake to the intricacies of the production process. To round up the lively and informative discussion, Brooklyn Kura's sake sommelier leads the group through a tasting of 3 of Brooklyn Kura’s signature sakes. The evening is the perfect opportunity for both sake novices and connoisseurs to come together and learn more about sake in an informal, welcoming setting. Tickets are $30 and are sold via Eventbrite.
