Art History Happy Hour: Arts of Asia
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Kick off the 2025 season of Art History Happy Hour with an evening of lighthearted and informative lectures celebrating Lunar New Year and a new display of Japanese prints. On view in our Arts of Asia galleries, the prints depict onagattas, male Kabuki actors who specialized in playing female roles. Hear from curator Joan Cummins, Lisa and Bernard Selz Senior Curator of Asian Art; Samuel L. Leiter, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Theater at Brooklyn College; and drag performer Shia Ho, organizer of the Made in Asia Festival. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are $30 and include one specialty drink and after-hours admission to the Arts of Asia galleries. Additional beverages are available for purchase. Member tickets are $18. Not a Member?
