Third Annual Jazz Night: Year of Alice
Join us on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Brooklyn Peace Center for the Third Annual Jazz Night, co-sponsored by the John & Alice Coltrane Home. This signature event is a powerful celebration of music, culture, and community, with proceeds supporting Brooklyn Peace Center's vital programs in trauma resilience, peacebuilding, and the arts.
This year’s theme, "Background is Foreground," pays tribute to Alice Coltrane's legacy, honoring the often overlooked yet profound elements of music, spirituality, and culture. Attendees are invited to reflect on and celebrate these subtle but significant aspects of life and art.
Set within the historic, iconic Gilded Age building of Brooklyn Peace Center, the evening will feature live music, light bites, a silent auction, and more. Every dollar raised supports Brooklyn Peace Center’s mission to offer transformative workshops, arts and culture activities, and peacebuilding initiatives in Brooklyn and beyond.
