Carlton Fine Arts Extends “Lost Museum” by Artist Linjie Deng
Pop Art exhibition features work by Linjie Deng, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Mr. Brainwash, Marc Chagall, and more
Carlton Fine Arts has extended “Lost Museum,” a new exhibition of works by conceptual Chinese artist, Linjie Deng, alongside a curated set of works by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Mr. Brainwash, Marc Chagall, due to popular demand. The exhibition will now run through April 29th at 543 Madison Avenue, the gallery’s location.
Linjie’s featured works will include his "Empty Hearts" series, "News", "Moon Catcher" and "Password". Linjie's "Empty Heart” series is inspired by his experience upon moving to the United States in 2015. Prior to coming to New York City, Linjie believed the American dream was directly correlated to material goods, from clothing to a high-end meal. After arriving and trying to obtain what he imagined to be the American dream, he found his heart empty. The series symbolizes the items he aspired to attain and serve as a reminder of what our true priorities should be, obtaining a full heart.
The no-cost exhibition is open Mondays through Fridays and also on Sundays. Full hours can be found below: Mondays - Thursdays: 10 AM - 6 PM; Fridays: 10 AM - 4 PM; Saturdays: Closed; Sundays: 11 AM - 6 PM For more information on the exhibition and Carlton Fine Arts, please visit: http://carltonfa.com/.
