11-12-2017 12:00:00 11-12-2017 12:00:00 America/New_York Talks Progress Administration: Within Reason With Neer Asherie Directed by Sarah Hughes The Talks Progress Administration is a mad science experiment on stage - we're pairing academic lecturers with theater directors to see what they'll make together. The Talks Progress Administration (TPA) combines intellectual entertainment, creative discourse, and interactive storytelling like you've never seen before. What would happen if Bill Nye got cast in Sleep No More, if Jane Goodall sat down for tea with Brecht, or if Stephen Hawking wrote a new Hamilton-inspired rock opera? We don't know, but we sure as hell can't wait to find out. TPA kicks off with Within Reason, with Neer Asherie and directed by Sarah Hughes. A physics professor must give a public lecture to get tenure. The safe approach is a boring, technical presentation, but he dreams of something different. Bye-bye tenure! http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=263742 Caveat Caveat
