Female Persuasion: On Women-Led Cults
Women can be anything they want to be—even the horrifying, manipulative, seductive, charismatic leaders of their very own cults. Tonight, with podcasters Rebekah Sebastian from DIE-ALOGUE and Tori Telfer from CRIMINAL BROADS, we’re diving into lady cult leaders and all the damage they’ve caused over the decades.
We’ll look at what a female-run cult looks like (spoiler alert: sometimes there are matching blonde wigs), what makes lady cult leaders so darn good at their job, and why male cult leaders tend to get all the coverage.
And since it wouldn’t be cult-y without some (consensual!!) groupthink, we’ll be starting + ending the night with two rousing rounds of cult-themed trivia. You’ll laugh, you’ll shudder, you’ll learn some history…so that next time a lady cultist asks you to join her “home group,” you can say that you’re, um, busy that night.
