“Maxxinistas: To The Maxx!” is a character show inspired by T.J. Maxx, the greatest store in the world. In this show, New York’s finest comedians will perform as characters created from aspects of the popular department store. The show is hosted by three super fans of the store. Constructed like a variety show, we hope to entertain an audience with TJ Maxx-focused jokes, characters and songs throughout the evening. Laura Ornella (host and performer) is a New York-based comedian, actor and writer. She founded the comedy platform Humor Darling. Laura's work has been showcased at Just For Laughs, Comedy Central, Vulture and Characters Welcome. She is an actor and writer on the independent sketch team Wilburn and co-hosts a seasonal character show called JINX. You can find more of Laura's work at www.lauraornella.com. Jack Blankenship (host, performer) is a writer, actor, and comedian originally from Alabama. Jack gained notoriety as “The Alabama Face Guy” meme, appearing as a guest on shows like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and The New York Times. He chronicled this rise and descent from fame in “A Funeral for My Face,” which headlined the New South Comedy Festival in Greenville, S.C., and was performed internationally at the Boom Chicago Comedy Festival in Amsterdam. Jack currently resides in New York City and works at "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," where he occasionally performs as himself and appears as other characters.  Kathleen Cameron (host, performer) is a New York-based character performer. She was featured online on Comedy Central for Black and Women's History Months and just accepted The SNL Scholarship Award.
