Based on the popular game Venns With Benefits! Venn diagrams have had quite the renaissance thanks to the internet and the thriving meme culture within it. There’s truly an art to filling out that middle space. It’s an underrated sort of genius to be able to accurately decipher what two seemingly unrelated things actually have in common. It’s also a very fun challenge.

Based on how many seasons of Survivor there have been so far - a whopping 46 (but still not enough!) - I think it’s safe to say that people enjoy watching other people participate in challenges. And based on all of the news headlines that circulate everyday, I can confidently conclude that we could all use a good laugh right about now.

“Venns With Benefits” is a game show hosted by Ariel Elias, where professional comedians are tasked with the challenge of coming up with the center of a venn diagram, between two unconnected concepts. What connects “divorce” and “Walmart”? What about “taxes” and “being tickled”? Or “the 1%” and “zoos”?

Ariel Elias Described as "a sly young comic from Kentucky” by the New York Times, Ariel has also been featured in Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, and on Good Morning America. She was named a “New Face” at the 2021 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, as well as Paste Magazine’s Best Comedians of 2022.

After catching Jimmy Kimmel’s attention with a viral stand-up clip that displayed her cool, calm, and hilarious composure, he invited Ariel to make her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which received over one million views on YouTube. In 2024, she followed it up with an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

When not performing, she’s probably petting a dog or struggling through a crossword puzzle.

Dina Hashem Currently a writer for The Daily Show, Dina tried stand-up on a whim by entering the 2010 New Jersey Comedy Festival during college. After winning 1st place, she moved to New York City, where she now regularly performs at clubs like The Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club. Dina is known for her dry, often dark observations about life and her Arab-American upbringing. She has performed on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, CONAN on TBS, Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, SF Sketchfest, and has written for The Sex Lives of College Girls on HBOMax, and BJ Novak’s The Premise.
