Incarnate Jazz at Church of the Incarnation
Ancient and Modern Music Meet under the Neo-Gothic arches of the Church of the Incarnation, Friday, June 7 with Medieval Radiance and Incarnate Jazz: “Hidden Dimensions”

NEW YORK CITY - An all-star cast of early music and jazz artists join forces to present a music concert with the theme of Hidden Dimensions - influences that we feel but cannot see, such as gravity, love, hope, pain, and music. Featuring Sarah Pillow, voice; John Mark Rozendaal, vielle; Christopher Preston Thompson, voice and gothic harp; Marc Wagnon, vibraphone; Alexandra Ridout, trumpet; Dave Kikoski, piano; Hamish Smith, bass; and Mike Clark, drums. This third concert of the series takes place on Friday, June 7 at 6 pm at Church of the Incarnation, 209 Madison Avenue, NYC.

Incarnate Jazz is a new concert series in midtown Manhattan connecting ancient and contemporary music using themes of astronomy, science and the natural world. “Hidden Dimensions” features works by Guillaume Machaut, Chick Corea, Marc Wagnon, and Duke Ellington, among others.

Critics say: Sarah Pillow: “a genuinely genre-busting voice, full and vivid” - Washington Post Marc Wagnon: “If you love vibraphone work, you won’t find any that’s more creative than what Marc creates for you…” - Contemporary Fusion Reviews John Mark Rozendaal: “splendid” - Chicago Tribune (and) “breathtaking” - Sun-Times Christopher Preston Thompson: “a versatile, funny, game and attractive…obviously well-trained singer.” - Opera News Alexandra Ridout: "...obviously a player of huge promise.” - London Jazz News Dave Kikoski: "Every solo is a model of tastefulness and technical brilliance...” - All About Jazz Hamish Smith: "Mr. Smith swings magnificently whether he is walking or in any other rhythmic mode.” - LatinJazzNet Mike Clark: "[He's] not a revivalist: he was actually there, anchoring Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, laying down the kinds of funky beats and snappy solos that have made him one of hip-hop's favorite sample-sources.” - Washington Post
