Renowned for helping to usher the folk-rock music of the 1960s into the '70s and beyond, Aztec Two-Step continues to be one of acoustic music's most beloved and enduring acts. While the duo possesses a rich musical legacy of their own, here they masterfully interpret and perform the timeless songs and harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel. The compelling multimedia music event celebrates Simon & Garfunkel's iconic contribution to Pop Culture and beyond. The music speaks for itself. The storyline of the Songbook show was originally created by the late great pioneer of progressive FM radio and author, Pete Fornatale. Now mc'ing the show and featured on narration, along with creating The Songbook's slideshow, is Fornatale's protégé, WCWP DJ and Long Island Hall of Fame co-founder Tony Traguardo. Laughter and nostalgia abound, and a sing-a- long is always in the mix. "It was a great night of stories and songs...outstanding performances by Rex and Neal with insightful, entertaining musings......Wonderful, wonderful!! The audience just loved every minute of it."- Barbara Lavery, Director, The Bendheim Performing Arts Center, Scarsdale, NY "What makes Aztec Two-Step's take on the Simon & Garfunkel songbook more than just a tribute band's cover set? Start with a spicy mix of Rex and Neal's original harmony to complement the classic S&G vocal arrangements, add an entirely new dimension with Neal's dazzling acoustic guitar work, and wrap it up with their genuine love for those great songs and the memories they invoke. http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=273102 City Winery City Winery
