Brazilian Jazz & Tango Jobim Encontro Piazzolla
Brazilian jazz legend Antonio Carlos Jobim was the Grammy-winning king of bossa nova and composer of such enduring hits as the inescapable international smash "The Girl From Ipanema." At this special Club Bonafide concert, French-Israeli singer-songwriter Yael Dray-Barel and Argentinian guitarist Gabriel Hermida will pay tribute to the bossa nova legend, and put a spotlight on Hermida's countryman Ástor Piazzolla, who's credited with adding a touch of jazz and classical to tango and forging a new style called nuevo tango. Together, Yael & Gabriel's love for bossa nova and unconventional melding of genres should make for a unique, exciting night of music.
