Seven Last Words
A concert featuring the music of composer Michael John Trotta with three of his most popular works. Conducted by Catherine Sailer, Seven Last Words is a multi-movement choral journey which delivers a powerful and captivating story encompassing a breathtaking palette of emotion, from intimate tenderness to majestic triumph. Following will be ‘Te Deum’, conducted by Larry Bach. ‘Te Deum’ delivers an energetic and poignant reflection on one of the oldest hymns in the Christian tradition. The concert will culminate with Trotta’s triumphant ‘Gloria’, a rare example of music that is both grounded in tradition and appealing to the modern listener.
