NYYS Jazz Band and saxophonist Steve Wilson pay homage to Charlie Parker’s centennial and bebop innovations. Described by the New York Times as “An endlessly adaptable alto and soprano saxophonist, at home in myriad settings,” Wilson has attained a ubiquitous status in the field through his work on stage and in studio with a wide range of artists including Chick Corea, George Duke, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, Dianne Reeves, Gerald Wilson, Maria Schneider, and Joe Henderson.
