June 1st kicks off the new Queens Scene series of this year's Queens Rising. We are thrilled to be one of only four venues in Queens who have been selected for the Queens Scene series.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Sin Fronteras World Jazz Quintet is an ensemble that seamlessly blends Latin and modern jazz influences. Comprising musicians from diverse backgrounds, including Colombia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, and the United States, their music transcends borders. Their debut recording, released in 2020, features dynamic compositions inspired by South America, Spain, Africa, and the Caribbean.

The Scooches are an eclectic ensemble that defies genre boundaries. Their original music draws inspiration from world folk traditions, global Americana, New Orleans verve, and the exuberance of the 1920s. The band features a world-class lineup of standout musicians hailing from diverse backgrounds, including New York, Suriname, Sapelo Island (Georgia), Mexico, India, and the Caribbean. Led by bandleader and composer Nick Russo, they blend remarkable musical dexterity with timeless tradition.

Mister Pablo is a Latin Fusion band led by Pablo Raul, an Argentinian singer-songwriter based in New York City. Their latest single, “En El Espejo,” has been featured on iHeartRadio. The band’s music blends Latin styles like Salsa, Tango, and Flamenco with elements of Rock, Reggae, and Funk. They perform both originals and covers in English and Spanish, drawing inspiration from artists ranging from Celia Cruz to Stevie Wonder and Pharrell to Fabulosos Cadillacs. Notably, they’ve opened for acclaimed Latin band Maná at the Prudential Center in New Jersey and headlined the Latin night at the renowned Kimmel Center for the Arts in Philadelphia.
