Film Night: Daisy
Daisy is a poetic rumination that questions the effects of intergenerational trauma after filmmaker Catalina Kulczar’s mother died by suicide in 2021.
This short documentary explores Catalina's family's Jewish identity and immigration history, stemming from 1940s Hungary. Daisy intertwines this journey from the past with how she processes questioning and grief through open-water swimming.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion/Q&A with the film's director, Catalina Kulczar.
