Head to Fotografiska New York this Friday for World Photography Day — with $8 museum tickets available all day, along with a special 20% off select retail items. Historically speaking, August 19, 1839 is the day that the French government is believed to have purchased the patent for the daguerreotype, the first-ever photographic process, and made it free to the world.
