Obsession and Evidence: Machine Dazzle’s First New York Gallery Exhibition Reimagines Waste as Art at Gallery AP Space
Machine Dazzle’s debut New York gallery exhibition, Obsession and Evidence, opens January 1st at Gallery AP Space in Chelsea. This show reimagines discarded materials as fossilized artifacts, exploring the relationship between waste and art. Accompanied by AI-generated imagery, the works prompt viewers to consider how artificial materials transition from lifelessness to life and reflect on the abundance of non-biodegradable garbage in our world. The exhibition runs through January 15th, with the gallery open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM.

Born Matthew Flower in 1972, Machine Dazzle is a multidisciplinary artist celebrated for his bold, transformative approach to costume design, sculpture, and installation. His practice centers on recycling and reimagining materials, crafting art that blends the absurd with the sublime. With accolades including an Emmy and OBIE Award, Machine has collaborated with luminaries like Taylor Mac and designed for iconic events like the Met Gala. Obsession and Evidence continues his tradition of pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions of beauty and waste.
