Now’s your chance to sample the best the fest has to offer at the Yaaas Fest Highlight Show, Dec. 16 at 9:30 p.m. at Greenwich Village Comedy Club. Headlined by Whitney Chanel (BET), the show features Gabe Gonzales (Scruff), Justin Randall (NY Post) and Gus Constantellis (Netflix), as well as some of this year’s standout competitors Joseph Lymous (Just For Laughs New Faces 2021), Pamela Ross, Sheria Mattis and Alex Kim. The show will be hosted by Bobby Hankinson (SiriusXM), host of Brooklyn’s monthly LGBTQ+ comedy showcase Kweendom.

The show comes after more than 20 preliminary rounds held this year at Broadway Comedy Club in front of sold-out audiences. Hundreds of comedians compete for a chance to be crowned the Yaaas Queen (get it?) in February. Along with a tiara and sash (obviously), they will be considered “passed” at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. They will also receive bookings at more than 20 other LGBTQ shows around the city.

The competition is a must-see for all those who identify as comedy fans and allies. Bringing together the best of the babygays cutting their teeth at open mics with web content queens and outer borough weirdos, there’s no better place to get a taste of the entire queer comedy rainbow.

Venue: Greenwich Village Comedy Club
