“Dog Days of Summer” Free Run/Walk for Dog Parents and Pets
To celebrate the many New York City dogs and give community members a free opportunity to exercise with their pets, nonprofit New York Road Runners (NYRR) will host a Dog Days of Summer event series at NYRR Open Run sites across the boroughs.
The series will continue in Brooklyn, at Highland park on Saturday, July 27, 9:00 a.m. Community members and their dogs will participate in a 2.5-mile run/walk, with gifts and treats at the end for their pets. The New York City Community Emergency Response Team (NYC CERT) will be onsite to supply emergency preparedness tips to dog parents.
