STILLness: A reflective workshop for photographers
Join us for a reflective movement-based workshop for photographers led by Girls Who Shoot, an organization focusing on educating, highlighting, and providing spaces for women of color in the visual arts world. The workshop will begin within the ICP exhibition, Face to Face: Portraits of Artists by Tacita Dean, Brigitte Lacombe and Catherine Opie, in a meditation exercise led by certified Hatha instructor, Ashanti Muñiz. After the meditation, Girls Who Shoot will lead a portrait photo booth session based on creating your own digital self-portrait, followed by a group discussion about the making of self-portraits.
We ask that all participants bring a pillow or small blanket and a notebook to write in. This event is centered on women-identifying individuals
